Biography of
Bishop Michael T. Smith Sr.
Bishop Michael Smith was born to the late Bishop Lawrence and Lady Alice Smith on August 4, 1969. He is the second of six children in the Smith family. Bishop Smith grew up in Philadelphia, PA where he completed his primary and secondary education in the Philadelphia public school system. With a growing thirst for education, he went on to obtain an Associate’s Degree from Harford Community College in Business Administration, a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology from the Kentucky College of Contemporary Religion, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Maryland University College. He also obtained a Master’s Degree in Biblical Studies at Covenant Bible College and an MBA from the University of Maryland College. In his continuous pursuit of education, he is pursuing a Master’s degree in Theology from Loyola University Maryland.
In his secular vocation, Bishop Smith is an IT professional. He also serves as a trustee on the board of his local community college. He is also a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, the Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society, the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi and a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated.
